She was never meant to carry this much weight. The bruises, bandages, and gloves represent the battles life placed in her path long before she was ready. While the world sees anger in her expression, that anger is not her identity—it’s her shield.

Beneath the fierce stare is a child protecting the parts of herself that have been hurt, disappointed, or forced to mature too soon. Her rage is a response to survival, a defense built from experiences that demanded strength before innocence had a chance to fully exist.

This work explores how hardship can transform vulnerability into armor, and how the children who appear the toughest are often the ones who learned earliest that they had to protect themselves.
