This piece is about showing how we see the world through our emotions and inner feelings. I used only Charcoal to focus on the details of the eyes— how they can reveal so much about what someone is feeling inside. The closed, tired, or perhaps worried eyes shown by the colors dripping out remind us that everyone has moments of vulnerability or introspection. It’s a simple image, but I also wanted it to make you pause and think about what’s happening inside a person when they’re lost in their own thoughts or emotions.
